Principal Accountabilities


  • Communicating with Operations, FSQR and Safety, Utility and other department supervisors and managers on safety, maintenance and other plant matters that may arise

  • Completion of startup, shutdown, pass-down items, PMs, and daily work orders will be monitored by the shift maintenance lead.Leads are expected to uphold Cargill policies and ensure their team members follow all safety, food safety and plant policy/procedures

  • Assist management in all Pre-Job Hazard Analysis (PJHAs) and LifeSaver Permits to ensure hazards are identified, mitigated, and documented following Cargill procedures

  • Must have deep technical skill as well as the ability to workindependently, handle multiple priorities, and strictly adhere to all OSHA and Cargill safety standards. Previous leadership experience is helpful

  • Must exhibit core leadership and decision-making skills in alignment with Cargills core values

  • Work in a cold environment, doing a variety of tasks such as troubleshooting repair work, performing preventative maintenance, working around raw meat, working with industrial electricity, hydraulics, bearings, welding, pneumatics, and PLCs

  • Use various hand tools associated with the work task. The role requires candidates to wear personal protective equipment and work within food safety requirements in order to deliver a safe product to the consumer


Required Qualifications


  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of PPE, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Basic use of a computer


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous Cargill experience

  • Work history in the past 12 months

  • Minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience or completed training for Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
